Say No to McChrystal Strategy & No To Afghanistan War Funding Bill.

“If Americans pulled back and started paying attention to this war, it would become even less popular.”-Senior Advisor to Gen. Stanley McChrystal
 Dear The O’Leary,

By now you’ve seen most of the childish name calling by Gen. Stanley McChrystal and his staff in his profile in Rolling Stone: calling National Security Advisor Jim Jones a “clown,” describing Ambassador Richard Holbrooke as “a wounded animal,” and a slap at the Vice President, “Biden? Did you say ‘Bite Me’?”

Predictably, the mainstream media covered the juicy gossip from the McChrystal profile today, but neglected to ask an important question: How can Congress possibly appropriate an additional $33 billion for McChrystal’s failed strategy in Afghanistan?

Tell Congress to end the McChrystal strategy and say “no” to the Afghanistan war funding bill.

Tomorrow, the focus will be on whether Gen. McChrystal will be fired — and he should be. But no matter who leads our effort in Afghanistan, the surge strategy McChrystal has put in place is failing. And this month Congress is expected to endorse the McChrystal strategy by spending another $33 billion in taxpayer money to fund the war surge.

ACT NOW: Tell your Members of Congress to reject the McChrystal strategy and the Afghanistan war funding bill.

Firing McChrystal is not enough. It’s time to fire McChrystal’s failed strategy, too.

Our Thanks,
Ryan, Tom & the Win Without War team
