One Nation Working Together

Dear The McGlynn

For nearly nine years now, U.S. peace activists have struggled to get our troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq. Your dedicated work is beginning to pay off as combat forces leave Iraq, but great challenges still lie ahead (see our national press statement released today).

On October 2, we will take to the streets of Washington, D.C. for the One Nation Working Together demonstration to demand that ALL the troops return home, that we cut military spending, and fund jobs and human needs.  UFPJ is working to mobilize a huge contingent of local and national peace organizations for the October 2 march.

We need you to march!  And we need your financial support to create signs and flyers, and to carry out the organizing to ensure the voices of peace activists are loud and clear.  Please contribute now and help bring our peace and justice priorities to Washington.

Bring the troops home.  Abolish nuclear weapons.  Cut military spending. Show the world that Beyond War a New Economy is Possible!
