I believe Dodd believed that one person could make a difference – and he did. And despite the fact that his Majority Leader sided with the Bush administration and none of the Democratic leading candidates for president showed up (Clinton, Obama, and Sen. Joe Biden did not leave the campaign trail to assist in Dodd’s effort)Senator Dodd pressed on anyway. And won!
