Will Hillary Clinton plunge the world into nuclear apocalypse?

Will Hillary Clinton plunge the world into nuclear apocalypse?. 58495.jpeg

Hillary Clinton’s tough anti-Russian rhetoric has driven her, as well as the while world, into a dead end. Average Americans will expect radical actions from Clinton, and this may eventually lead to Third World War, a senior representative of the US Republican Party said in a private conversation with

Hillary Clinton has made quite a number of expressly anti-Russian remarks, such as the “KGB has no soul” (commenting on Bush’s “I looked the man in the eye…I was able to get a sense of his soul”). She also swore to take every effort not to let the Soviet Union reemerge again and vowed to “punish Russia.”

In the event the US presidential campaign (the Bushes and the Clintons traditionally run most expensive and large-scale campaigns, experts admit) leads to the election of the wife, who has bitter memories of Monica Lewinsky, she will most likely keep her promises.

Clinton, who rejoiced at the killing of Bin Laden and was very pleased with the death of Muammar Gaddafi, allocated millions to opposition bloggers and supported “orange revolutions” in post-Soviet space, will continue to exacerbate confrontation with Russia.

NATO’s Aegis vessels will appear in the Black Sea and the US Air Force will be ordered to frighten Russian patrolling aircraft. In Europe, Clinton would arrange something similar to the confrontation of the Warsaw Pact and NATO, he added.

“This is not the case of Benghazi, when she fell sick after the US Ambassador to Libya was killed. Here, she may resort to direct combat confrontation – in Ukraine, in international waters or in the neutral sky between the USA and Russia,” the official said.

“Otherwise, she will be eaten like a Christmas cake. She can’t play on the factor of being the woman president here. It may all lead to a massacre, and one can only pray to God that nuclear missiles will not fly,” the politician hopes.

It is an open secret that Hillary Clinton is a hawk just like today’s war lobby in the White House. She was happy about the killings of civilians in Ukraine saying that the Donbas is swarming with terrorists that have to be killed. During her service as the US Secretary of State, the US State Department switched to the military agenda entirely…………..

Tide of vulnerable people fleeing violence in Central America preyed upon by criminals and corrupt officials in part due to inadequate asylum procedures

The McGlynn: Let us remember the recent history of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. We supported the coups that led to the today’s destruction of these three countries.  Hillary Clinton supported the coup  in Honduras, just a few years ago, when she was secretary of state.

Clinton had no problem with the forced removal of a democratically elected leader of a country. In her glib responses, Clinton never elaborates on what the “strong arguments” were that justified the United States not calling the ouster a coup, despite the fact that various governments around the world, as well as the United Nations, condemned Zelaya’s ouster as a coup and called for his restoration as president. To me this was another chilling lie that a leading presidential candidate would say this was not a coup.  She’s baldly lying when she says it was never called it a coup.

The US is responsible for the misery the people of these countries have to endure.

Mass deportations and inadequate asylum procedures in Mexico and the US have fueled a humanitarian crisis where desperate Central Americans seeking refuge from rampant violence are routinely preyed upon by criminal gangs and corrupt officials, according to a new report by the International Crisis Group (ICG).

The tide of people fleeing Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala – three of the five most dangerous countries in the world – continues apace despite beefed-up border control measures implemented after Barack Obama declared the 2014 surge in undocumented migrants a humanitarian crisis. Last year, Mexico deported 165,000 Central Americans, while the US expelled 75,000.

In order to avoid detection, vulnerable people – who include increasing numbers of women and unaccompanied children – are forced to pay higher fees to smugglers, crooked officials, and kidnappers, and use riskier, more isolated routes through Mexico, according to the Easy Prey: Criminal Violence and Central American Migration. Once deported, many simply try again rather than face hunger and violence at home, creating a revolving door of vulnerable migrants and refugees.

The report comes after the US, for the first time, recognised that the surge in people currently fleeing Central America includes potential refugees, not just economic migrants. The Obama administration on Tuesday announced a new scheme whereby Costa Rica will offer temporary protection to 200 eligible Central American refugees at a time before they are settled in the US or another country……………

Devontre Thomas faces a federal trial that advocates say is a waste of resources and a stark reminder that law enforcement continue to target people of color

An Oregon teenager could be sentenced to a year in prison for possessing about one gram of marijuana in a federal case that has sparked widespread outrage about the ongoing “war on drugs” – even in US states that have fully legalized cannabis.

Devontre Thomas, a Native American 19-year-old, is accused of possessing a small amount of weed – enough for about one joint – and will face a federal trial that advocates say is a waste of resources and a stark reminder that US law enforcement agencies continue to target people of color for low-level pot offenses.

The one-count charge brought by the US attorney’s office – which could also result in a $1,000 fine – is the latest illustration of growing tensions in US laws on marijuana. The drug is sold recreationally in four states but remains outlawed at the federal level.

The government’s decision to file charges against Thomas, which criminal justice experts say is a perplexing move that directly contradicts federal guidelines, has also raised questions about how the US Department of Justice enforces laws on Native American territories……………

Pontiff’s statement hours after landing in city could cause friction with Poland’s rightwing government

Pope Francis has urged people to welcome refugees fleeing war and hunger in his first public words after arriving in Kraków, indicating that he would not duck the issue likely to be a significant cause of tension between him and the Polish government during the five-day papal visit.

Speaking at the city’s Wawel cathedral two hours after his plane touched down on Wednesday, Francis spoke of the need for a “spirit of readiness to welcome those fleeing from wars and hunger, and solidarity with those deprived of their fundamental rights, including the right to profess one’s faith in freedom and safety”.

Everything possible must be done “to alleviate the suffering while tirelessly working with wisdom and constancy for justice and peace”, he added.

There are clear points of difference on the issue of refugees between the pope and the rightwing government, headed by the Law and Justice party, which was elected last October.

Francis has made the call for compassion and generosity to refugees a hallmark of his papacy. But the Polish government has refused on security grounds to accept refugees from the Middle East.

“There are real flash points between Francis’ social agenda and the positions and comportment of the Law and Justice government, beginning with the obvious potential rift on refugees,” wrote Vatican expert John Allen on Crux, a Catholic website………….

AK-47s, machine guns, explosives and more travel along new arms pipeline from Balkans to countries known to supply Syria

Eastern European countries have approved the discreet sale of more than €1bn of weapons in the past four years to Middle Eastern countries that are known to ship arms to Syria, an investigation has found.

Thousands of assault rifles such as AK-47s, mortar shells, rocket launchers, anti-tank weapons and heavy machine guns are being routed through a new arms pipeline from the Balkans to the Arabian peninsula and countries bordering Syria.

The suspicion is that much of the weaponry is being sent into Syria, fuelling the five-year civil war, according to a team of reporters from the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) and the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).

Arms export data, UN reports, plane tracking, and weapons contracts examined during a year-long investigation reveal how the munitions were sent east from Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Slovakia, Serbia and Romania.

Since the escalation of the Syrian conflict in 2012, the eight countries have approved €1.2bn (£1bn) of weapons and ammunition exports to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey – key arms markets for Syria and Yemen.

In the past, the region had virtually no track record of buying from central and eastern Europe. But purchases appear to be escalating, with some of the biggest deals approved in 2015.

Arms export licences were granted despite fears from experts and within governments that the weapons could end up with the Syrian armed opposition, arguably in breach of national, EU and other international agreements.

Eastern and central European weapons and ammunition, identified from videos and photos posted on social media, are now being used by western-backed Free Syrian Army units, but are also in the hands of fighters from Islamist groups such as Ansar al-Sham, the al Qaeda-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra, Islamic State, factions fighting for the Syrian president, Bashar-al-Assad, and by Sunni forces in Yemen…………..

Forget that the enslaved workers were dehumanized property. Apparently a nourishing diet was all that mattered. Well, even that was denied them

When Michelle Obama told the Democratic convention “I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves”, the backlash was as immediate and swift. Some denied enslaved blacks – our mutual ancestors – built the White House or accused Obama of exaggerating. Others expressed outrage that the first lady brought up slavery at all. Fox News talk show host Bill O’Reilly took a kinder approach: he acknowledged this shameful history, but with a twist of the knife.

“Slaves that worked there were well fed and had decent lodgings provided by the government, which stopped hiring slave labor in 1802. However, the feds did not forbid subcontractors from using slave labor. So, Michelle Obama is essentially correct in citing slaves as builders of the White House, but there were others working as well,” said O’Reilly.

Forget that the enslaved workers were chattel, dehumanized property with no rights to person, self-determination or respect for their familial bonds: at least they were “well fed”, O’Reilly seems to be saying. But that’s not the only troubling thing about his comments. O’Reilly was also suggesting that enslaved people had a balanced diet. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Food rations given to the enslaved were weekly, monthly or rarely, daily disbursements of nourishment, and they were often inadequate. Enslaved life was always colloquial to its environs and discretionary to the personal choices of slave holders and the enslaved, thus “typical” rations for an enslaved person are not easily encapsulated by one account. But records show they often failed to adequately meet their dietary and nutritional needs. Even those working at the White House were badly mistreated. Another first lady, Abigail Adams, herself described slaves at the residence as “half fed and destitute of clothing”.

In 1732, William Hugh Grove recorded that enslaved workers were allotted a peck of corn per week. (A peck is equal to the dry measure of two gallons.) By the 19th century rations are described as being disbursed on a weekly basis. Weekends and Mondays are frequently mentioned as the days when enslaved people were given their most meager allowances…………….
