Flotilla raid was ’cause for war’: Erdogan

ANKARA: Turkey’s prime minister said Monday that Israel’s raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla last year was “cause for war” but added that his country showed “patience” and refrained from taking any action. Erdogan made the comments before departing for a visit to Egypt, where he will seek to boost his government’s already high standing in the Arab world — a position he has achieved in part by challenging Israel on the world stage.

Cliff Robertson: Oscar-winning actor who was unofficially blacklisted when he exposed high-level studio corruption

Cliff Robertson won an Oscar for his portrayal of a mentally retarded man in the film Charly (1968), and was personally selected by John F Kennedy to portray the President as a young Navy Lieutenant during the Second World War in PT 109 (1963). But he will best be remembered as the actor who took on the movie mogul David Begelman, President of Columbia Pictures, who forged Robertson’s name on a cheque……………….
